Minor & James Medical named 2006
Healthcare Quality Leader by Premera

On November 1st, Premera Blue Cross of Washington released the results of its 2006 Medical Quality Score Card. The Score Card is based on an index that measures how often the range of a variety of patient care meets nationally recognized standards. 2006 overall results were an 8% improvement over initial 2002 results.

Quality Score Card Leaders are committed to implementing collaborative quality improvement activities. These ground-breaking efforts in the consistent delivery of high-quality care have provided the foundation for expanded work with clinics and practices throughout Washington. When asked by Premera about Minor & James award, Dr. Gary Enzmann commented, “We have a strong commitment to the delivery of a high quality of care to our patients. We are currently making changes such as eliminating the presence of pharmaceutical reps and institution of an EMR which we hope will make a future difference. Our participation in the Quality Scorecard program provides us with a tool for the assessment of quality and a gauge for demonstrating improvement over time.”
