The Rheumatology Division of Minor & James Medical is comprised of dedicated subspecialists board certified in both Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. Patient care is the first priority of each doctor in the division; however, all members are also active in medical teaching and research.
As rheumatologists, the doctors in this division are experts in diagnosing and treating arthritis and related disabling and sometimes fatal disorders of the joints, muscles, bones and immune system. The rheumatic diseases are a group of many disorders that range from simple shoulder bursitis, to nagging back pain, osteoporosis and complex multi-system diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and sarcoidosis.
Whether a condition is simple or complex, sometimes accurate diagnosis can be difficult, especially in the early stages of illness. The rheumatologists at Minor & James Medical act as medical detectives to help establish an accurate diagnosis and direct the proper treatment.
